Golden coins and Gems

My store :)
I'm a sucker for fashion. Or clothes I should say. It's not like I'm following every trend, post pics of my daily outfits on Tumblr, nor do I pursue a career in fashion. Still, I  spend too much money on it. More than I should.
For over a year now I've been playing Fashion Story. It's something I'm not proud of but hell, I've come so far now! (I became lvl 97 on December 17th 2012, I'm I'm gonna record how long it'll take me to get to 98!) At first I thought I'd be playing with 13 year olds but in time I found out there were more adults there than kids! Nurses, policewomen, housewives, grandmas. I've got them all!
I've got them all means, I have like 45 neighbours at the moment. Neighbours who I'm supposed to tip x6 and gift daily and they do the same for me! I think only 10 regularly visit me and are fun.

A lot of players are from the south of America. I detected a lot of religious people among them too. Not sure why I run into them here. :) I only have 2 Dutch neighbours. And they are even connected in real life! And I know 2 dogs! Oscar and Mendo. But they don't know each other.
I haven't found or even tried to convince others to play this as well. I know there are other 'story games' but  they don't appeal to me, so why should I recommend them to others? :)
Anyway.... I hope I can quit at 100. I think TeamLava knows and that this company hadnt expected players to rank so quickly. Now they've toughened the last few levels. It takes months now to get to a new level whereas the 80's went quite smoothly.

My awesomely dressed avatar!
My store looks clean. It doesn't have all these huge displays (which one can obtain by spending a lot of gems). There's structure in the tiling and the rest of the decorations. There are loads of items to choose from but I stick to the same ones. I'd rather spend my golden coins and gems on clothes! It's like a surprise egg whenever a new catalog comes out. I recently bought the pink ski jacket! ;)
I earn gems by doing catalogs. I think mainly Americans spend actual money on gems. Some stores look more like toy stores than clothes stores. Less is more I think although my store is getting pretty stuffed too. I need at least 5 million for expansion. That'll take a while. In the meantime I just look forward to new catalogs.
Just like in real life.
